LIGHTOWL DESIGNS was established as Lighting Design Office in 2019, located in Kitami city, North-east of Hokkaido, Japan, which is surrounded by rich natural resources and magnificent spectacles of Okhotsk district. Our Lighting design realm covers not only designing a lighting fixture, but also a variety of designing fields such as creating atmosphere of residence, commercial building and facilities in addition to lighting master plan for cities.

Light is one of the essential factors in the composition of space and our life but its existence is intangible like that of air. Our work is to highlight the potential and value from the space by designing lighting, in which its existence must be dissolved into a space. Our design policy is to gently lit up the good character of an object and not solely depends on new technologies making exaggerated ambience. We always dedicate ourselves to all our projects abiding by the policy and being inspired by the dynamic nature of Hokkaido.
